Troubleshooting Amazon Fire TV

If you are experiencing:
  • excessive video buffering, stuttering video
  • video not playing
  • audio sync issues
  • no sound
  • error message on screen
  • other odd app behavior

Try these basic troubleshooting tips as a first step and see if your Fire TV experience improves:

1) Restart your Fire TV device

Delete and reinstall the MHz Choice Amazon Fire TV app. Delete instructions here.

3) Unplug your Fire TV device, leave it off for 30 seconds, plug it back in to reset it

4) Make sure your Fire TV device is connected to the internet

5) Restart your internet WiFi modem

6) Replace the batteries in your remote control 


How to remove the MHz Choice Fire TV app
1) Press the HOME button on your Fire TV remote control
2) Navigate to the "Settings" option on the top of your screen and select it
3) Navigate to the "Applications" option and select it
4) Navigate to the "Manage Installed Applications" option and select it
5) On the list of installed applications, locate MHz Choice and select it
6) Navigate down to the "Uninstall" option and select it

In this next step, you will be removing all copies of the app to make sure your device removes all versions of the app.

How to remove the MHz Choice Fire TV app from the Amazon cloud
1) Press the HOME button on your Fire TV remote control
2) Navigate to the "Your Apps & Games" row
3) Highlight the MHz Choice icon but do not select it
4) On your remote control, press the MENU icon (it looks like 3 stacked lines)
5) On the right side of screen, select "Remove from Cloud"
6) In dialog screen that appears, select "Remove from Cloud"
