Troubleshooting Apple TV

If you are experiencing:
  • excessive video buffering, stuttering video
  • video not playing
  • audio sync issues
  • no sound
  • error message on screen
  • other odd app behavior

Try these basic troubleshooting tips as a first step and see if your Apple TV experience improves:

1) Restart your Apple TV device

2) 
Delete and reinstall the MHz Choice Apple TV app (4th generation) (Instructions below)

3) Unplug your Apple TV device, leave it off for 30 seconds, plug it back in to reset it

4) Make sure your Apple TV device is connected to the internet

5) Restart your internet WiFi modem

Remove, Reinstall, Reactivate MHz Choice Apple TV App


Remove MHz Choice Apple TV app
1) Go to your Apple TV's home screen and navigate to the MHz Choice app icon and highlight it
2) Hold down the select button of your remote until the app icon bounces
3) Press the Play/Pause button on your remote
4) Select DELETE


Reinstall MHz Choice Apple TV app
1) Go to Apple TV app store, search for MHz Choice
2) Select MHz Choice icon and follow prompts on screen to download and install the app


Activate Your Apple TV
All the activation process does is links your Apple TV with your MHz Choice account.
1) Launch the MHz Choice app and attempt to play any video
2) Select SIGN IN
3) Select USE EXISTING ACCOUNT
4) On your Apple TV screen, you'll be presented with a 4-digit activation code. Write down the code as you will need to use it in step #6 below.
5) On a web browser or mobile browser, make sure you are signed into your MHz Choice account.
6) Go to this webpage: http://mhzchoice.com/activate and enter the 4-digit activation code from step #4.
